
A gunshot incident in northwest Fort Worth yesterday morning claimed the life of 19-year-old Luis Carlos Laguna Jr. As recorded in a Star-Telegram report, police officers responded to a call from the 1200 block of NW 35th Street around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday. Here, they found Laguna suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but he was pronounced dead at 9 a.m. According to the Dallas News, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound to the head.
With the community reeling from Laguna's loss, an investigation into the shooting has been therefore commenced by the local law enforcement, with homicide and gun violence detectives leading the case. However, up until now, no arrests have been announced.
