A 21-year-old man, Scott Goldberg, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon on November 19, as per a news release by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office. The brutal assault that led to his arrest involved a 63-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man on Mayfield Court in Thousand Oaks.
The Ventura County Sheriff's Office described the assault as an "isolated event," with limited details released publicly. Both victims had been transported to a nearby hospital to receive medical attention for their severe injuries.
