
A 63-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles yesterday. The LAPD is currently conducting a search for the responsible driver.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department's Newsroom, the accident occurred at roughly 10:35 p.m. at the intersection of Manchester Boulevard and Cimarron Street. After hitting the woman, the unknown driver left the scene without providing aid or identifying themselves. The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
Indeed, the Los Angeles City Council created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund, as recorded in their amendment of the Los Angeles Administrative Code on April 15, 2015. As per this program, up to $50,000 is offered as a reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction or civil resolution with the responsible party in hit-and-run cases.
In relation to the recent incident, the LAPD is asking for the community's help in finding the culprit.
