
Los Angeles is mourning the loss of LAPD Police Officer II Darrell Cunningham, who tragically died along with a passenger in a traffic collision. Another passenger was seriously injured, according to a statement from the LAPD on their Facebook page.
The accident happened yesterday, at the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and Lindley Avenue. The officer was off-duty, driving his own vehicle with two passengers, when they were hit by a driver reportedly going over 100 mph, as stated by LAPD Chief Moore.
Coupled with mourns for Officer Cunningham's loss, other injury victims from the collision were taken to a hospital in a serious condition. Meanwhile, the LAPD Traffic Division is conducting an investigation into the incident, as per Hoodline reports.
