
The tranquil town of Frisco, Texas, recently experienced a tragic shooting near a local Walmart. The incident, which occurred last Wednesday night, involved Zachary Lowe, a 20-year-old Army veteran, and Dung Doan. The shooting resulted in one death and left one individual gravely injured.
Zachary Lowe was walking home from work around 9:30 p.m. when a man of unknown identity approached and shot him twice in the back as he tried getting away. The other victim, Doan, a father of two who had migrated from Vietnam recently, was unfortunately killed in the confrontation. The Frisco Police Department has yet to release any information regarding the suspect or the motive behind the shooting per FOX 4 News.
The Frisco PD initially labeled the shooting as "isolated", later revising to term it "random", as per a report from Hoodline.
Zachary Lowe, the survivor of this horrific event, still faces considerable challenges on his road to recovery. His family described the distressing call they received from Lowe during the incident. "I received a phone call from Zachary himself and he calls me and there’s like this panic in his voice. The first thing he says is ‘Help, I’ve been shot,’" Morgan Lowe, Zachary's sister, mentioned. Currently, Lowe is reportedly afraid to walk back home, given the trauma brought upon by this event according to FOX 4 News.
