
Yesterday, a car and a train were involved in a collision at the South Main railroad crossing in Buda. The incident alerted authorities to urge residents to avoid Downtown Buda, specifically the areas at W. Goforth, Main Street, and S. Loop 4 across from Buda Mill & Grain, according to the Buda Police Departent.
The police department has yet to provide any detailed information about how the car-train incident occurred. Interestingly, despite the severity of the incident, there have been no reported injuries. Additionally, authorities have stated that the train involved remained on its tracks without derailment.
In a bid to effectively manage the situation, residents were told to steer clear from the accident area, a directive intended to allow emergency response units and investigators to proceed with their work unhindered while ensuring public safety.
As investigations are underway, more details about the incident are expected to surface.
