Chaos erupted on Route 24 South in Avon, with a multi-car crash that sent three individuals to area hospitals. As revealed by Boston 25 News, state troopers advised the accident occurred at approximately 1:22 a.m., near Exit 35B.
Two women from Dorchester were found, their bodies hurled from their vehicle and into the roadway. The 24-year-old driver of the first auto, carrying the weight of her serious injuries, was taken to safety at a nearby Boston hospital. The 28-year-old, her situation being more dire, was airlifted to a hospital in Burlington. The third person involved, a 19-year-old man from Lakeville, found himself with similar injuries, was also dispatched to a Boston hospital, according to the Massachusetts State Police Spokesperson Dave Procopio on Masslive.
