Las Vegas-based Carver Road Hospitality is venturing into Boston's hospitality sector with the launch of its restaurant, Seamark Seafood & Cocktails. Scheduled to open in April 2024, CEO Sean Christie, a native of Framingham, has expressed great enthusiasm for the project, as reported by NBC Boston.
Offering an amplified representation of New England's seafood dining scene, Seamark will stick to tradition while introducing new flavors, maintaining Carver Road's acclaimed service and commitment to culinary skill. Christie began his career in Boston before moving to Las Vegas and later joining Wynn Resorts as an executive, and eventually opening his own restaurant, NBC Boston reports.
Seamark will be located at the Encore Boston Harbor, adding to a range of restaurants including those by Frank DePasquale and Nick Varano, and the Big Night restaurant and nightlife chain. The restaurant, adjacent to the resort's Garden Lobby and with a view of the Ferris wheel, will primarily serve fresh seafood, according to a press release. The award-winning architecture and design firm Rockwell Group had previously been tasked with transforming the venue, originally Sinatra restaurant and then Harbor Lounge, into Seamark.
The company, having restaurants in cities such as New York, Salt Lake City and Glendale, Arizona, marks a pivotal development with their Boston expansion. Further plans of branching into South Florida and Durham, North Carolina are also being discussed, as per NBC Boston. Seamark is the second collaboration between Carver Road Hospitality and Wynn Resorts, following Casa Playa in Wynn Las Vegas, via a press release.
Jenny Holaday, President of Encore Boston Harbor, has expressed her faith in the partnership, praising Carver Road Hospitality and Sean Christie for their commitment to Wynn Resorts. She looks forward to being part of Christie's return to New England, as mentioned in the press release.
