Last week in Cohasset Street, Worcester, Massachusetts, firefighters responded to a distressing call. A house was ablaze, trapping two residents inside. The individuals were rescued and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Upon arriving, firefighters discovered a three-story home overwhelmed by fire, as reported by NBC10 Boston. Despite the severity of the fire, the team successfully rescued a woman who was trapped, as well as her young daughter. Both individuals were later transported to local hospitals for treatment, according to Boston25 News.
Fire crews continued defensive measures against the fire after the rescue, preventing further damage. The fire was under control within an hour, but not before causing a partial roof collapse and displacing eight residents, as Boston25 News reported.
Onlookers shared footage of the striking blaze across social media platfrorms, showing flames estimated to reach heights of over 15 feet, NBC10 Boston reported.
