A field facelift is also on the roster, with $285,400 in backing from the Allen Community Development Corporation to replace the worn-out turf at Allen Station Park, the softball fields' surfaces to be traded in for synthetic alternatives, a move aiming to sidestep any spring season disruptions in a bid to keep the community 'in the game'.
