
An Anoka County staple, Pam LeBlanc, was honored with an Outstanding Service Award by the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC), spotlighting her impressive 42-year commitment to public service. LeBlanc, who stands as the Property Records and Taxation chief officer, has been a fixture of county operations, holding down various roles with a sense of dedication that has now been recognized at the state level.
"I can't think of anyone more deserving who truly exemplifies what AMC looks for in county service," Commissioner Scott Schulte, chair of the county's Property Records and Taxation Committee, told Anoka County News, praising LeBlanc's achievements. Her tenure at the county has seen her work alongside multiple departments, ensuring that Anoka County's gears grind together cohesively, just as well as fostering leadership within her team.
LeBlanc's career has extended beyond the confines of Anoka County's walls. Being the former president of the Minnesota Association of County Officers, she currently, keeps a firm grasp on local government evolution by working on the legislative committee. Moreover, her handprint is evident within the AMC Tax Forfeiture Work Group, signaling her influence on policy and county governance.
With an annual tradition stretching back to 1977, the AMC doles out accolades to those improving and innovating within county government. This year, the recognition dovetailed during the AMC Annual Conference from Dec. 4-6, as recounted by Anoka County's announcement. A voluntary organization, AMC is pivotal in aiding Minnesota's 87 counties to deliver potent local governance, an area wherein LeBlanc's career, spanning over four decades, shines as an exemplar.
