The Atlanta Police are on the hunt for a bold thief who staged a daytime home invasion earlier this month, making off with an AR-15-style rifle. According to a report by FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident took place on Northwest Drive NW near St. James Drive NW, where the suspect kicked in the front door and confronted the homeowner with a firearm before slipping away with the weapon.
Authorities responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 13, as was told by investigators with the Atlanta Police Department's Robbery Unit. The suspect, believed to be aged between 17 and 20, was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and jogging pants, with dreadlocks that were dangling around his cheekbone, according to officers at the scene described.
The Atlanta Police are appealing for assistance in apprehending the man responsible, releasing a description of the young black male they're looking to identify in the case. Individuals with information that could aid in the capture of the suspect could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 – details are encouraged to be passed on anonymously to Crime Stoppers Atlanta.
