
Flames briefly roared through a Southeast Austin home Wednesday night before firefighters rapidly quelled the blaze. According to the Austin Fire Department, the fire erupted close to 9 p.m. in the 700 block of Valdez Street, an area sandwiched by Montopolis Drive and State Highway 183. The situation quickly escalated as crews arrived to witness fire daring to escape through a window.
Despite the emergent threat, all residents managed to quickly evacuate the premises without injury. "All occupants were safely removed and no injuries were reported," Austin Fire Info posted on social media. Firefighters proved effective in their timely response, confining the fire to the room where it had initially sparked.

The cause of the house fire remains a mystery, keeping investigators on their toes as they sift through charred debris and ash for answers. "The cause of the fire is still under investigation," CBS Austin reported.
