Austin authorities have identified a 50-year-old woman who died in a collision with a CapMetro bus earlier this month. The victim was Susana Barnes, who succumbed to her injuries after the vehicle she rode rear-ended the stopped bus on Highway 71, according to CBS Austin.
On the tragic morning of December 11, Barnes was with three other passengers when their car crashed into the rear of the bus near the intersection of Del Valle Street. According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 9:37 a.m. All occupants of the vehicle were transported to the hospital, as stated in CBS Austin.
