The assault took place at the corner of Cedar Avenue and Bloomington Avenue on the morning of December 14, 2023. The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department stated that they got a call at around 11:20 a.m., arriving on the scene to find two individuals with stab wounds.
The attacker, identified as Alex Monjaraz, a 31-year-old male from the area, had engaged in a sudden and violent encounter with the unnamed victim. The victim, in an act of self-defense, managed to disarm Monjaraz and used the knife against him.
Upon their arrival, deputies provided medical aid to both men and gathered evidence, including the knife used in the assault along with several others found at the location.
