In a risky rendezvous gone wrong, a man's attempt to engage in paid sexual activity at a Boston hotel ended with him being robbed at knifepoint. Suffolk County authorities have charged two individuals in connection to an armed robbery that targeted a man who had arranged a sexual encounter through an online ad.

The incident unfolded at Hilton Boston Back Bay, located at 40 Dalton St., where the victim claimed to have made contact with a woman who advertised sex-for-fee services. As per the Suffolk District Attorney's Office, as reported by WCVB, when the man arrived and entered her room on the 23rd floor, she revealed a knife and demanded $200, which he gave her before alerting the police.

The perpetrators in this hotel heist have been identified by prosecutors as 27-year-old Danine Simpson of the Bronx, NY, and Robert Santana, 28, from Lawrence, Mass. Simpson is charged with armed robbery, and authorities pinned her bail at $1,500 after her arraignment in Boston Municipal Court, as outlined by NBC Boston.

Furthermore, the police surveillance executed on the hotel room later captured Santana leaving, a man found carrying a Glock 9mm handgun along with eight rounds in his fanny pack. Santana faces a litany of charges including illegal possession of a firearm, ammunition, a loaded firearm and a high-capacity magazine. He was arraigned and ordered to be held without bail pending a December 28 hearing as reported by WCVB.

District Attorney Kevin Hayden underscored the perilous nature of the situation, stating, "This was a dangerous incident all around, both for the man who placed himself in an unknown situation with unknown people and for the police officers who responded to an armed robbery call and ended up dealing with an individual with a loaded gun," as NBC Boston reported. The unnamed victim, besides losing his cash, will also face charges for engaging in sexual conduct for a fee, the DA added.
