They reportedly unearthed a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, chamber loaded with one round, and a loaded Davis Industries P-380. Loose ammo, powder cocaine, and roughly $784 of cold hard cash were among the other items seized, as detailed in a statement released by Boston Police Department's official news post.
The man caught in the crosshairs of the law was Tyrone Wilson, a local resident, who is now facing a slew of charges. He was apprehended at the scene and now is staring down counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession with intent to distribute class B—a no small feat for a yesterday bust.
Law enforcement made it clear that the operation was part of a larger initiative to clamp down on drug-related offences in the area. Wilson is slated to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court, as the courts prepare to weigh in on the matter.
