A car accident on Friday in Braintree, Massachusetts, has left three people injured, with one passenger suffering serious injuries. A 2003 Toyota Corolla reportedly veered into the oncoming lane and collided with a Mercedes SUV that was stopped at the Quincy Avenue and Gordon Road intersection, as per MassLive.
The Braintree Police, alongside Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, are investigating the crash. The single passenger of the Toyota, now hospitalized with serious injuries, remains unnamed, while the driver, a 29-year-old, is also being treated for less severe injuries. This information was echoed by WCVB, who affirmed the injuries were not life-threatening.
The impact of the collision was strong enough to send the Toyota off the road, stopping only after it had left the asphalt. Inside the Mercedes, the driver, a local Braintree resident in their 50s, was transported to a nearby hospital, relieved to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to police statements.
