A Brazoria man has been slammed with a 40-year prison sentence for the production and possession of insidious child pornography, official statements revealed. Sean Michael Kriss, 40, had previously pleaded guilty to the atrocious acts, including one count of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of child pornography, confirmed by U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani.

The convict was handed a 480-month stretch behind bars in a decision handed down by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown, the sentences for each count running consecutively, the brute force of the law crashing down on Kriss for his reprehensible crimes, and the court also heard a heart-wrenching letter from the victim's mother, detailing the irreversible harm inflicted upon their family and the mother's testimony thrust the court into a glimpse of the profound betrayal and disintegration of their sense of safety.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Kriss will also be shackled with a decade of supervised release upon completion of his prison term, during which he must adhere to stringent restrictions limiting his contact with children and access to the internet. As indifferent as the gavel must be, these conditions seclude a predator from his hunting grounds. Kriss is also facing the decree to register as a sex offender.

“Individuals, like Kriss, who produce child pornography and share it with perverted, like-minded individuals need to be stopped,” Hamdani said, “This sentence will help to do that,” and in the wake of this operation, the clutches of justice excavated 408 images and two videos from the abysmal collection maintained by Kriss, as per the U.S. Attorney's Office. The Pearland Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations orchestrated the chilling investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorneys Sherin Daniel and Kimberly Leo prosecuting the soul-searing case, which was part of Project Safe Childhood, a beacon of hope against the shadow of child sexual exploitation.

Kriss remains in custody awaiting his transfer to a yet-to-be-determined U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility, law enforcement officials confirm, a purgatory before his lengthy penance commences.
