Two men from the Bronx found themselves in hot water just days before Christmas, nabbed by New Hampshire cops on various charges tied to a sophisticated identity theft scheme. Fernando Jose Amador Dominguez and Henry Moises Olivero Linares were charged with multiple charges after a local business flagged an attempted swindle involving high-end electronics, and their attempt to give police the slip ended in a futile foot chase.
It began when a Hudson resident's identity was used to fraudulently snap up gear earlier in December, prompting police to keep a sharp eye on similar attempts, according to a Facebook post by local authorities. On December 23, a local tech store spotted Olivero Linares trying to pull the same trick, and cops were tipped off but when confronted, Olivero Linares bolted and made a beeline for an escape car, police charged.
The chase was on as Olivero Linares and the driver, later identified as Amador Dominguez, led law enforcement on a chase that ended as both suspects ditched the car and scrammed on foot, but officers swiftly caught up. Amador Dominguez now faces charges ranging from Reckless Conduct with a Deadly Weapon to Forgery and Conspiracy to Commit Theft. He's also looking at misdemeanors that include Resisting Arrest and Driving Without a Valid License.
As for Olivero Linares, charged with a Conspiracy to Commit Theft charge, a felony, plus a pair of misdemeanors for Resisting Arrest – according to the same Facebook update by police. Both men were held on Preventative Detention with their arraignment set for tomorrow at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District
