Christmas Eve morning took a grim turn for a Brooklyn Park resident when an armed thief forced them at gunpoint to surrender their vehicle. The carjacking occurred in the 1600 block of 73rd Ave N, as reported by the local police department. The victim was accosted by a male suspect who presented a handgun and demanded the keys, along with other items.
The suspect made off with the vehicle promptly. Law enforcement was on the scene at approximately 8:44 a.m., shortly after the incident. The officers conducted a search operation with the assistance of the Brooklyn Park Police Department and neighboring agencies.
The stolen vehicle has yet to be found, and the perpetrator is still at large. The Brooklyn Park Police Department has issued a statement urging anyone with information to come forward, as the incident is still actively under investigation.
