Details of the pursuit were scant, but what's known is that the encounter started just after midnight at approximately 12:41 A.M. on December 18. Desperation gripping its wheel, the stolen vehicle evaded a traffic stop instigated by law enforcement. Following its tracks through the Brooklyn arterial was an officer who spotted the car and called in the pursuit.
