Carrollton has officially begun constructing its latest urban jewel with the groundbreaking of EVIVA Trinity Mills, a new mixed-use development destined to transform the city's landscape. The event was marked by city officials and partners launching the project last Friday at 10:00 a.m., according to the City of Carrollton, Texas.
Strategically situated at 2525 Blanton Drive, this ambitious project features over 430 multifamily units and live/work spaces. Carrollton Mayor Steve Babick envisions the new development as a beacon of the community's growth and points to high visibility and the potential to be a gateway to Carrollton for both east-west and north-south commuters. Having been in attendance, Babick spoke of the site's easy highway and rail connections to Dallas Love Field and DFW International Airports, both reachable in about 20 minutes.
Carrollton Urban Development Director Ravi Shah said, "EVIVA Trinity Mills will continue the City of Carrollton’s and DART’s objectives to create a sustainable, vibrant, livable mixed-use district." Shah also highlighted the billion-dollar live/work/play environment's future growth prospects, seeing it expand from a 25-acre TOD to a sprawling 300-acre hub for the DFW area, per the City of Carrollton, Texas.
EVIVA Trinity Mills stands as a key component of the Trinity Mills Station Transit Oriented Development (TOD), touted as the largest publicly-owned TOD site in North Texas and the most connected transit hub in the Metroplex. "Every aspect of Trinity Mills Station is designed with meticulous attention to detail," Babick said during the ceremony. Residents can look forward to enjoying the three-acre green park esplanade, already completed, which sits comfortably between the development's luxury apartments and retail offerings, as per the City of Carrollton, Texas.
The EVIVA Trinity Mills project is a testament to the collaboration between the City of Carrollton, DART, The Integral Group developers, and Koa Partners, aiming to revolutionize the urban environment into an all-in-one district that caters to the dynamic lifestyle of its inhabitants.
