Authorities reported a serious car crash at the intersection of Paxton and Thompson Pond Roads. A local Spencer man, 31, was rushed to UMass after sustaining significant injuries in a crash that shook the slumbering neighborhood at exactly 12:55 AM.
Speed was an obvious factor in this accident barely minutes into the holiday, according to the Spencer Police Department’s Facebook page. Central Mass. Law Enforcement Council (CMLEC) is handling the accident reconstruction.
Further, this vehicle is being investigated for possible involvement in a prior hit-and-run incident in Worcester that had resulted in personal injury. The lineage of these tragedies is now under investigation by the Worcester District Attorney’s Office.
