A Clayton County jury has convicted Tempest Cymone Daniel of the malice murder of her husband, signaling a grim end to a domestic dispute that escalated into violence in 2020. Following a heated argument with her spouse, Vincent Taylor, Daniel was found guilty as charged for his stabbing death.
Daniel's conviction comes after evidence was presented by the Clayton County District Attorney's office, indicating that the deadly altercation occurred on January 18, after Taylor had decided to leave the marriage. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Taylor initially left the couple's residence with their two children, spending the day with his father, and grandmother, and confiding to his father his intention to end the relationship. Later, after returning the children home, he was stabbed by Daniel, a tragedy that unfurled only a few hours after he had again informed his father of his decision to leave.
Subsequently, the wounded Taylor was discovered at a DeKalb County gas station, suffering from a lethal neck stab wound. Despite being rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, his injuries proved fatal. The conviction includes charges of malice murder, aggravated assault, and family violence, reports Atlanta News First. Presiding over the trial, Clayton County Superior Court Chief Judge Robert L. Mack handed down a life sentence to Daniel, with the possibility of parole.
