According to an X post from the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, James Soderlund was last seen at Alameda High School roughly around 4 p.m. on December 9. The authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in locating the young teen.

Described as a 5-foot tall, 130-pound teen with short brown hair and hazel eyes, Soderlund was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, and black sandals at his disappearance, the sheriff's office detailed in their plea. The post further noted that the youngster was without a cell phone or money, but he is known to be familiar with public transportation and has friends in Alameda and Castro Valley. Family and law enforcement express deep concern for James' well-being, encouraging residents to watch and report any potential sightings.
