
Dallas Police Department is on the hunt for a gunman following the fatal shooting of a 46-year-old man on McKinney Avenue. The victim, identified as Roderick Butler, was gunned down on a sidewalk in the 2200 block of the bustling street at around 5 p.m. on December 20 and later died in a local hospital, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Detectives are now scouring the neighborhood for clues, appealing to the public to come forward with any information that could lead to quickly track down the perpetrator. The unknown suspect made their escape, cleverly weaving through parking lots in the direction of Maple Avenue after the shooting.
Authorities have released a photograph of the suspect in the hope that citizens might recognize the individual in question. Meanwhile, the crime scene remains under active investigation. The case, documented under number 227175-2023, has rattled locals and precipitated an urgent response from law enforcement officials.
