A Dallas firefighter and two other individuals were injured in a vehicle collision involving a fire department vehicle this Tuesday. The crash occurred at the intersection of West Ledbetter Drive and West Duncanville Road, WFAA reported.
The accident added to what appears, to be a troubling pattern for Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR), with this being the second such incident in just over a week. A similar accident on December 20 saw a fire engine struck by a driver while responding to an emergency, leading to injuries for two civilians and one firefighter, as per NBC DFW.
A photo from the December 26 event shows significant damage to both a white vehicle involved and the DFR fire engine. The identities and the exact circumstances behind the collision have yet to be disclosed. "Three individuals were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," according to The Dallas Express.
