Dallas Police have turned to the community in a bid to nab a package thief who breached an Amazon delivery box on the 300 block of E. Greenbriar Lane earlier this year, per a department request made public yesterday. The burglar, caught on camera during the heist which took place around 10:00 PM on October 10, reportedly muscled into the delivery storage and made off with numerous parcels.
This isn't the first time the Amazon box has been targeted. It experienced similar unauthorized access back in March but the perpetrator managed to leave without a trace. The suspect's identity from the prior incident remains a mystery, as the authorities continue their search for leads. In a recent appeal, the Dallas Police have distributed images of the October suspect, hopeful that fresh eyes might recognize the individual responsible, according to the Dallas Police Department.
With the investigation pressing on, Detective Travis McAnally has been designated as the point of contact for anyone with information that could lead to the thief's capture. The Dallas Police Department is rallying residents and potential witnesses to come forward with any relevant details, which can be directed to Detective McAnally at either his email, [email protected], or by phone, at 214-918-8671.
