American Airlines is setting the stage for a blazing summer in 2024 with a record-breaking number of departures from the heart of Texas. The skies over Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) are going to be extra busy come next summer as the carrier plans to launch more than 850 daily flights, according to NBC DFW.
The high-flying Fort Worth-based airline announced on Thursday that they are throwing down the gauntlet with the introduction of service to fresh destinations, like Redmond, Oregon; Albany, New York; and St. George, Utah. And it doesn't stop there; they're also beefing up the frequency in more than 35 other cities—high fives all around for travelers looking to beat the heat or chase the sun, depending on their summer plans.
Jim Moses, the Senior Vice President of DFW Hub Operations, couldn't hide his enthusiasm. "We’re thrilled to offer more seats than ever before to our local and connecting customers at DFW next summer," he stated. Their confidence is sky-high after this year's strong performance and continued investments in its largest hub, as per American Airlines Newsroom.
They're rolling out new services to Barcelona, Spain, and Tulum, Mexico, adding a touch of European flair and tropical sizzle to the menu of choices. The daily flights will connect cowboys with Catalans and suntanners with Mayan ruins starting in June for Barcelona and in March for Tulum, according to Simple Flying.
