A San Antonio man's alleged reign of terror on local delivery drivers has been brought to a screeching halt. Tony Larenzo Cornelius Jr. was clapped in irons this past Saturday night, suspected of spearheading a series of daring heists against undefended grocery company delivery trucks.
With the stealth of streetwise brigands, Cornelius and his cohort, since October, have wrought havoc in the San Antonio area, according to FOX San Antonio. Police say the accused bandit, nabbed on November 30, alongside two accomplices, would often drive up to their quarry—a delivery truck mid-mission with its trailer invitingly agape—before allegedly laying siege.
Details of the crimes sketch a harrowing picture of banditry on the urban prairies. "Cornelius and one of his partners would go inside and allegedly hold the delivery driver at knifepoint or gunpoint," relayed the authorities to FOX San Antonio. In their conquests, spanning from late October to just shy of December, they reportedly engaged in two thefts and three aggravated robberies.
The truck would then be plundered of its goods, investigators state.
