According to KXAN, two individuals sustained injuries in a collision triggered by a wrong-way driver on an I-35 entrance ramp. The crash, which occurred near the southbound ramp to westbound Ben White Boulevard, was attended by the Austin Travis County EMS and Austin Fire Department around 3:50 a.m. One of the victims was tagged a trauma alert due to serious, potentially life-threatening injuries, while the second suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The Austin Police Watch command confirmed the involvement of a wrong-way driver in the highway collision, though additional details on the event are yet to unfold. The transported individuals are receiving medical care, and the status of the case remains under close watch.

Elsewhere, a domestic blaze in northwest Austin forced two residents to quickly evacuate their home on Bluegrass Drive. According to a report by CBS Austin, fire alarms inside the home awoke the two adults, who managed to swiftly leave the endangered structure. Firefighters who responded to the scene rescued their two dogs and contained the fire to its room of origin, despite heavy smoke damage throughout the property.
