According to a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, authorities responded to reports of an explosion and subsequent fire in the area of 4th Street and Avenue E on December 18th.
Investigators, including the Yucaipa Fire Department and CAL FIRE, were on the scene to unravel the mysterious series of events that led to the discovery of multiple explosions in the area over the previous week. The assistance of specialized canines like accelerant K9 Mocha, and explosive K9 Flash were called in to conduct a post-blast examination. The investigation, which encompassed destructive device remnants and video evidence, led to the identification of 45-year-old Ryan Karl Silva as a prime suspect, as well as Tiffany Marhoun, 40, after further examination at Silva's residence.
