A quiet Massachusetts neighborhood was rocked by a grim discovery on Thursday evening as police found three members of a family, including a teenager, dead inside a Dover home in what authorities suspect to be a case of domestic violence. Dover Police were called to a home on Wilson's Way at approximately 7:30 p.m following a 911 call from a concerned family member who had gone to check in on the relatives.
Upon entering the residence, responding officers uncovered a blood-soaked scene, stumbling upon the bodies of a man, a woman, and their teenage daughter, NBC Boston reported. The scene was promptly secured, and Massachusetts State Police were summoned to aid in the investigation.
The investigation is yet in its infancy, but Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey remarked, "although the investigation is at a very preliminary stage, it is not believed that there is any ongoing danger to the Dover community related to this incident" WHDH stated. While a hush of dread hangs over the town, officials have attempted to assuage public fear, implying that the tragic occurrence was contained and poses no further threat.
