FBI Amplifies Efforts to Apprehend Notorious LA Fugitive, Offers Reward for Information on 1997 Cold Case

The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Los Angeles Division has intensified its quest to apprehend Saul Aguilar, Jr., issuing a public call for information that could lead to the capture of this long-time fugitive. Aguilar is accused of the alleged murder of his former girlfriend in the year 1997 in Los Angeles and has been evading authorities ever since. In pursuit of justice, the FBI has now placed a monetary incentive on the table, offering up to $5,000 for details conducive to Aguilar's arrest.

Aguilar, who reportedly has connections to Mexicali, Mexico, has managed to elude capture for over two decades, and his name has become synonymous with the FBI’s "Fugitive Friday" spotlight, which seeks to renew public attention on individuals who have avoided the long arm of the law for extended periods. According to a post by the FBI Los Angeles, anyone with information on Aguilar’s whereabouts is urged to submit tips through the FBI's official tips website. The post detailed specifics on the active reward and includes avenues for the public to assist in the capture of Aguilar.

The FBI’s digital flyer related to Aguilar’s case presents a monochrome photograph of the alleged criminal, featuring his estimated physical characteristics as well as potential aliases. 

Individuals with pertinent information are encouraged to submit anonymously if they so choose.
