A North Texas man has been slapped with murder charges after allegedly killing a 43-year-old man and stuffing his body in a trash can in San Antonio, police said. Lance Colton Bray, 34, from Little Elm, Texas, was arrested in connection with the death of Eric Edward Garcia, who was found dead on December 8.

Bray purportedly confessed to a woman that he had murdered Garcia and later broke into the hotel room where she fled, threatening her and another woman with the same story, as cited by an arrest affidavit and reported by Express News. Despite a disturbance involving Bray and the women, it wasn't until days later that the grisly tale came to light, when one of the witnesses overcame their fear to inform the police about the cold-blooded killing.

As per the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office, asphyxia was ruled as the cause of Garcia's untimely demise. Though the motive remains in mystery, Bray, who was taken into custody, remains behind bars on a $250,000 bail. Footage reportedly places Bray at the location of the discarded body on the day before its discovery, as revealed by KENS 5.

Police records show that the confession— first made to one woman, then to another in the terror-stricken hush of a hotel room— Bray bluntly warned "you know what happens to snitches," a statement obtained by KENS 5. Bray, now facing a murder charge after his apprehension.
