
Fire tore through a Garden Grove home early this morning, as firefighters battled to contain the blaze that erupted in a garage on Cobblestone Drive. The fire-fighters, who encountered heavy smoke upon their arrival at the multistory dwelling, mounted an aggressive offense against the fire which had started to invade the home's interior, crews from Truck 81 established a presence that fortified neighboring units against the spread of the flames.
The inferno, which was reported at approximately 5:22 AM according to OC Fire Authority's post, led to the evacuation of four adults; unfortunately, their cat was not so lucky. The crews’ timely response and coordinated efforts were critical in averting a fire that could’ve potentially wreaked havoc on adjacent homes.

While the residents are no longer in immediate danger, their feline companion fell victim to the dense smoke and fierce flames. As for the cause of the fire, investigations are currently underway by fire authorities, though no definitive source has yet been pinpointed at this early stage.
