On the morning of Christmas Day, gunfire erupted in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, resulting in numerous vehicles being damaged, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. According to the Atlanta Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene at 298 Buckhead Ave. around 1:06 am on December 25, upon receiving reports of shots fired.
The chaos erupted following an altercation between two male groups, and though the night resonated with the sound of gunfire, authorities said there were no casualties; however, they did find several vehicles that had been caught in the crossfire. The Atlanta Police responded against the alleged perpetrators, apprehending one Marcus Williams, who now faces charges of reckless conduct and second-degree criminal damage to property and he was transported to Fulton County Jail, as the investigation carries on.
Marcus Williams, the accused shooter, is currently awaiting the due process of the justice system.
