Oakland police and their American Canyon counterparts brought a car chase to a close Friday morning, netting two suspects. The pursuit started over a stolen white truck in American Canyon and ended in Oakland, near 62nd Avenue and International Boulevard, according to KTVU.
Law enforcement officers swarmed the scene around 7:00 a.m. as they tracked down the suspects, who had led them on a roughly 40-minute chase between the two cities. Oakland police provided backup to the American Canyon PD and confirmed the arrest of one individual and a firearm's recovery. However, they rerouted further questions to American Canyon, leading to the investigation.
In a brief statement released via X post, the Oakland Police Department detailed its role in assisting the neighboring police department and announced the successful capture of a second individual.
