A horrific collision on a north Texas highway has claimed the lives of six people and left three others fighting for theirs. The tragedy unfolded late yesterday near Cleburne, approximately 33 miles from Fort Worth, when a pickup truck drove head-on into a minivan.

According to the KSAT report, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office stated the crash was caused by a 17-year-old driving a Silverado pickup truck. The teen reportedly swerved into the northbound lane in a no-passing zone to ultimately collide with a Honda Odyssey. A preliminary investigation suggested this ill-fated decision resulted in the fatal events.

The six victims, who tragically perished at the scene, were all occupants of the minivan. The deceased included a 28-year-old male from Irving, Texas, and five passengers from Alpharetta, Georgia, aging between 9 and 64. Their identities hadn't yet been released to the public when the news broke out.

The KRDO report confirmed that three survivors were rushed to a Fort Worth hospital in critical condition, including two 17-year-olds from the pickup truck and a 26-year-old Georgia man from the minivan. The sheriff’s office described the scene as "devastating" and "very emotional for all involved," but hasn't yet to officially release the names of those involved.

Efforts are currently underway between Texas Department of Safety officials and their counterparts in Georgia, reaching out to the relatives of the victims to both identify and inform them of this tragic incident.
