In southeast Houston, a heinous act of domestic violence left a mother dead and her three young children with serious injuries. According to KPRC 2, Houston Police officers were called to a residence on the 5100 block of Enyart Street early Friday morning after receiving reports of children wandering outside injured. Upon their arrival, authorities discovered two girls, both bearing signs of assault, and a man positioned atop the home's roof.
The children, one of whom is believed to be between 8 and 10 years old, informed the police that her father had shot her mother. Houston Police's Assistant Chief M. Martin confirmed the disturbing revelations in an interview with KPRC 2, disclosing that the search of the premises also led to the discovery of a 3-year-old boy with similar injuries as his sisters.
The officers continued their investigation inside the house, where they ultimately uncovered the body of a woman in her 30s in a back bedroom; she had suffered from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Details of the tragic sequence of events were also corroborated by a briefing video released by the Houston Police Department.
