A tragedy struck a Houston smoke shop early Wednesday morning when a man was shot dead, prompting a homicide investigation by local authorities. Houston Police Department officers were called to the 8700 block of Mesa Drive near Oak Knoll Lane around 4:20 a.m., a scene that soon turned into a murder probe, as reported by FOX 26 Houston.
Upon their arrival, police discovered the victim with a fatal gunshot wound inside the shop. The Houston Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene, yet as of now, the man's identity, whether he was a clerk or a customer, remains unknown, and police have yet to pinpoint any suspects. According to KIAH, the shooting happened near Linda Vista Road.
