Houston Police Search for Suspected Assailant Linked to Two Random Assaults in December

Houston police are on the hunt for a female suspect caught on camera in connection to a stabbing and another assault this month. According to the City of Houston News, the first incident occurred on December 9 when a 63-year-old man was stabbed in the face at 4400 Bettis Drive. The second assault took place on December 14, where a 30-year-old man was struck on the head with a sharp object at 4323 San Felipe Street. Both attacks appeared to be random, with the suspect walking away silently after each incident.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female in her early 40s, standing about 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighing around 180 pounds, with short black hair worn in a bun. Caught on surveillance, with a seemingly indifferent gaze, the woman has been linked to both assaults by HPD detectives.

In the aid of the public seeking to identify the assailant, surveillance video and a photo have been disseminated by the police. Detailed by HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective M. Bellahna, the older victim recounted being approached from behind in an alleyway when he was assailed without provocation. After the perpetrator's silent departure, the injured man received hospital treatment and has been reported in stable condition.

Similarly, the younger victim narrated his ordeal of being blindsided while walking to his car, where the attacker, brandishing a sharp object, hawked him with a blow to the head. After the sharp object wielded by the suspect struck him, the female simply walked away without uttering a word. After the female walked away, the victim received on-site medical attention for the injury sustained in the parking lot attack.
