Tragedy struck on Grow Lane in Houston last night when a man was found shot to death on the street, police are on the hunt for the shooter. According to a report by the City of Houston News, the incident occurred around 9:10 p.m. Wednesday at the 7800 block of Grow Lane. The victim, a 43-year-old man whose name has not been released pending family notification, was discovered unresponsive, his life extinguished by an apparent gunshot wound.
Responding to a person down call, officers from the Houston Police Department uncovered the grim scene. The man was pronounced dead on site. Detectives from the HPD Homicide Division, including A. Graf and E. Torres, have taken up the case, their investigation just beginning to peel back the layers of this latest urban tragedy.
There's been little disclosed about the circumstances leading to the violent act. It was gleaned from the investigation that prior to the shooting, the man was reportedly working on a vehicle. Police now face the arduous task of stitching together the moments that culminated in his death without known witnesses or suspects to guide them.
