
Houston rapper Sauce Walka has been arrested after a high-speed chase with the city's police. The artist, known for his "Big Drip Squad" anthem, sped through the streets, reaching breakneck speeds of up to 130 mph before crashing his vehicle, as per The New York Post.
Facing charges for evading arrest, the 33-year-old, whose legal name is Albert Walker Mondale, was reported to have led the authorities over two miles, trying to outrun the law, Wednesday morning. While attempting to flee, Sauce Walka crashed his vehicle, according to police records. His court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
The Houston native began his music career in 2007 under the name A-Walk as part of the group Mostheard. He later rose to prominence after adopting the Sauce Walka moniker in 2014 and teaming up with rapper Sancho Saucy to form the Sauce Twinz, mentioned The New York Post.
According to court documents cited by Fox 26 Houston, the rapper is charged with evading arrest or detention with the use of a motor vehicle.
