A suspect has been cuffed for driving while under the influence and for the possession of cocaine following a motor vehicle crash in the 100 block of Cypresswood Drive last Friday, authorities report. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office were dispatched to the scene and soon after determined that the driver, Christopher Ware, showed multiple signs of being inebriated.
Deputies dispatched the standard battery of sobriety tests administered to Ware, which indicated his intoxication. The Harris County law enforcement authorities say that this isn't his first brush with the law concerning impaired driving—Ware had a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated. Digging deeper into the case, the deputies also uncovered that Ware was carrying cocaine.
In an official statement on Facebook by Constable Mark Herman stated, "Christopher Ware was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated - 2nd Offense and Possession of Controlled Substance." However, bond and court details for Ware are still up in the air, with no information set at this time.
