Houston Trio Accused of Icy ATM Heist Gone Awry in Cheyenne, Leads to Chase and Arrests

Three Houston residents were arrested after their alleged attempt to steal an ATM in Wyoming, police said. Cheyenne Police Department was called to the scene of an ATM alarm at UniWyo Federal Credit Union around 3 a.m. on a frigid Saturday, where they discovered a visibly damaged machine that seemed to have its cash boxes plucked out, KGAB reported.

Officers promptly tracked down a stolen Ford F-250, decked with a large chain used in the heist, deserted in the street with a punched-out ignition, its thieved origin later confirmed by law enforcement, while another cop spotted a speeding Nissan Murano with four apparent accomplices inside, one of whom was seen discarding the ATM's cash boxes out the car window during a reckless flight from authorities, FOX 26 Houston detailed.

During the high-stakes pullover that followed, 41-year-old Christopher Parish attempted to flee on foot but was arrested after neglecting to heed police commands. London Beaudoin and Leo Smith remained in the vehicle; all three would later be arrested with charges including burglary and destruction of property, according to a statement obtained by KGAB.

Parish, along with his alleged accomplices, Beaudoin and Smith, now face a slew of charges. Smith is tangled in legal woes stretching back to Texas with a nationwide extraditable warrant from Tarrant County for probation revocation on prior ATM theft charges. Cheyenne police spokeswoman Alex Farkas relayed the tangled legal web of the trio. A K9 unit sniffed around in pursuit of a fourth suspect who managed to vanish; the elusive individual remains at large, with the Cheyenne Police Department Detective Bureau continuing to look into the case.
