The Los Angeles Police Department has turned to the public in a bid to trace suspects linked to an attempted murder case in Hollywood. Detectives from the LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division have released a surveillance video to aid in the capture of two males who, on April 16, 2022, followed a man from the Hyde Sunset nightclub and later opened fire on him. According to the LAPD News, the suspects are described as males and blacks, both armed with firearms during the incident.

Viewers are urged to carefully watch the video at LAPDonline.org to see if they can identify the suspects. The confrontation left the victim shot after an attempted robbery, although the attackers failed to make off with any property. Notably, the suspect's vehicle, a black or dark-colored 2004-2012 BMW 3-Series with distinctive 5-spoke wheels, lacked a front license plate and may have damage or issues with the passenger side tail light.
The city is now offering $50,000 as a reward for information leading to the identity, arrest, and prosecution of the individuals responsible for this violent act. The bounty was approved by the Los Angeles City Council. The press statement detailed the precise timing of the attack, which occurred at around 2:35 a.m., as the victim stood next to his vehicle in the 8200 block of Sunset Boulevard.
The LAPD is keen to capture these assailants and is banking on the public's assistance to bring the suspects into the light of justice. Anyone with relevant information is strongly encouraged to come forward, with the LAPD assuring anonymity for those who wish to help yet remain unnamed. "Detectives have obtained a $50,000 reward from the Los Angeles City Council for any information leading to the identity, arrest, and prosecution of the persons responsible," reported LAPD News.
