The Long Beach Police Department has breathlessly appealed to the public to help find a 73-year-old man, Michael Savee, who mysteriously went missing from a local hospital on Dec. 27. In a release reported by longbeach.gov, the LBPD detailed that Savee was awaited treatment when staff at the facility on Atlantic Avenue noted his disappearance at about 8:30 p.m.
Savee, who faces several medical and cognitive challenges, could easily become disoriented. The missing man, described as having brown hair and green eyes, was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, a green plaid flannel, a black t-shirt, salmon-colored pants, and brown boots. He carries a cell phone, which goes unanswered, and an undisclosed amount of cash with him as per the information provided by the LBPD and covered by Hoodline.
The LBPD updated on December 28 that Michael Savee was located safe and unharmed near another area hospital. However, the circumstances of how Savee went missing and how he was ultimately found have not been disclosed.
