Wave goodbye to winter break blues because the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation, and Marine (PRM) is gearing up to launch a free fun-packed program that will keep the kids entertained during those school-free days. Starting December 26 through December 29, and picking up again January 2 through January 5, 2024, the Winter Fun Days Program is offering a sleigh-load of activities to youths aged between 5 and 12, according to a recent announcement.
From noon until 5 p.m., the city's parks will be brimming with games, crafts, sports tournaments, field trips, and even some festive holiday celebrations. Little Long Beach locals can just show up and sign up on the spot, so there's no need to stress over pre-registration. All activities are under the watchful eyes of PRM staff, ready to lead the fun and ensure a great time for all.
It seems like Santa's workshop isn't the only place bustling this winter season! Among the sites rolling out the red (and green) carpet for the youngsters are Admiral Kidd, Bixby, and Cesar E. Chavez parks, to name just a few. For those who need the details on where all the jingle bell rock is happening, the whole list of participating locations is outlined on the Winter Fun Days webpage.
Long Beach Parks, Recreation, and Marine prides itself on delivering year-round programming for the youth. Interested parties wanting a scoop on this winter wonderland or other youth programs should head over to LBParks.org.
